Am I too easy with money?

To me, a $20- 20++ meal is pretty normal. I would consider stuff above $30 as ex. Of coz not everyday meals are like that. But well, I got feedback for an event I planned with $24 per head is shocking. I need to rethink my money sense. Or more so, I need to see from the perspective of students. I am one too! So I think the problem lies with me then. Haha! Jovie also says that 我的钱很好骗。But I don't think so.

Basically, my research aim is still blurry. I have no personal motivation. As of now, I am most motivated to do my student's FYP for him since he has some kind of direction at the very least. I need to stop procrastinating and think of my own!

I think I have put back whatever weight I have lost in the past year. And worse still, I think the weight count is still increasing. Well, guess this is the power of looking at nice scenery with moon and howling wolf, makes your appetite better. Oops.. I am not making sense.

Tired... and in the lab

I like my life now. Even though I have no results, I have a presentation with no results, my machine is spoiled, my gauge is spoiled and I have no research aim. But.. I just like my life now.

I am so glad that after 1 year plus, my gastritis has improved tremendously suddenly. Able to eat some chili now. So happy. It was really a lifestyle problem...

I am so busy with things that are like pretty nonsense. But I just have to do them. Haha! Crap.

I spent 20 years of my life studying...

I am so tired of studying... for 20 years already....
Nvm, in another few months I will free from studying modules ever again. Yay!

Sigh...

Here I am trying to studying for the test on tues... And whole morning I was trying to solve schedule problems for the year 4 students. Oh man!!! Where is peace...

Then I got so tired I went to sleep... where is the studying...

Now I am attracted to watching Private Practice season 2 and just opened Chapter 1 notes...

Frack! I am so dead....

Woohoo... New Toys

Yay! With stipend comes new toys!

1) New phone SE C902 - aimed this one very long and decided to abandon my k850i

2) 640gb external backup HDD with Nexstar 3 casing - Love the casing looks chio with the nice blue led when its on. Rather slim for a 3.5" HDD enclosure

3) Finally forsake my "chinese buttons" and got myself new cufflinks. And with Duckie's good eyesight and taste, we think its cool!

4) Also, bought insurance and paid a whole year upfront - this is the major cash bleed.

And now all stipend gone, in exchange for a whole bunch of new stuffs. Good trade? Shrugs... Don't care... Hah

Busy with teaching and supervising the year 4 students with their final year projects. So far 2 screwups coz I always assume people know what they are doing and leave it to them. But but.. always proven wrong. They don't know what they are doing! I will go "oh shit, why didn't I double check?" Too late, I will have to clean up the "broken stall" aka lan tan zi.... haha!!! Well, that's life being the senior.

Have 3 super modules to handle as well. Taking 3 postgrad modules is like take 6 undergrad modules at one go. Xiong! Plus the guiding and maintaining the smooth operation of the labs. Wa.. puke blood. So... been down with gastric pains... then cannot eat properly... saw 2 docs and keep eating meds. Thought this was the end of me liao. But phew... thank God. I am feeling much better now.

Ok.. I know this is abit outdated. Since convocation is one of the THE most happening things during the hols, I thought I should dedicate a post to it. Convo wasn't exactly 100% joy for me coz I was sick. Gastric pains, cough n flu. Best. So I had to drag myself to the material science labs to take pics with my classmates. There is a hint of pain on my face initially... haha!( see the first pic)

actually I was "saboed" by Pruthvi la. But ended up kinda fun. Haha! My throw went well.. throw and catch.... Later, when we had to throw Pruthvi, he was too heavy to be caught with only a few guys plus me supporting so ya.. he mini-fell to the ground with us being his parachute to cushion his fall.

Notice there is no leg in the first photo of the throw? I think its exceptionally funny. No, my leg did not drop or whatsoever. It was caught by the hand u see near it and coz my pants is boot cut and very flowly, thus this no-leg illusion was created. Its so funny!

Soon, it was very late already like 11pm at night, so didn't have much time to hang around also. (My convo was at 8pm btw)

Anyway, thanks to all my friends and buddies for attending my convo that day!

Holidays Ending

Sick for almost 1.5mths of the hols. Almost thought I couldn't attend my own convocation. Bad bad... made me so sad. Couldn't go out eat nice stuff, couldn't go ktv.

Hols almost over. 1 more week to the start of school. Sigh. I feel like I did nothing useful this hols other than play games. I am actually killing this dragon boss in WoW as I am typing this post... oops. Haha! I needa do something useful already!!

But as Ivan mentioned, I managed to accomplish the goals I listed in my previous posts! Haa.. other than going ice skating... =(
